I'm a very sentimental person & hand made gifts are my favorite. Around this time of the year, Of course, christmas is about giving.
Question: why give a useless materialistic gift that will eventually be "out of date"? Why not a gift that gives them experience, excitement, connection, & memories that can last forever?
I love christmas time, but every year I walk away with useless materialistic gifts that always, without a doubt, end up in my closet or getting re-gifted.
Not to say I'm the "bomb . com" when it comes to gifts, but I am. Reason, because I never ever give gifts just to give them. I make everything personal & always go overboard.
When I was trying to come up with a great gift idea for my guy, I struggled at 1st.
What on earth could I give such a great guy??
What would he like?!
...
DUH! He wants what what every guy wants!
His lady! (Me) so I made this personalized coupon book, the gift that keeps on giving!
Step 1
Pick your paper! Mine holiday themed cause tis the season!
Step 2
Cut paper to the size you want ( I used a index card for sizing) & as many as coupons as you'd like. Use a hole punch (or whatever) to put 2 holes on 1 side of each card for the binding part. Remember to cut 1 long piece (2x the length of the coupons) for the cover, DON'T PUT WHOLES IN THIS PIECE YET!
Step 3
Create coupons
Some of the ones I used:
>My Treat: date night on me, where we going?
> Let's Eat: homemade dinner prepared by yours truly.
>Back scratch punch card (self explanatory)
Step 4
Tie coupons together by stringing desired string through holes punched. Tie each end separately (meaning don't tie the top hole to the bottom hole).
Step 5
Use the tied coupons to line up the holes for the cover, mark where to pierce 4 small holes in spine(2 for each end). You can use a sewing needle, small nail, pen, etc. to put 4 small holes on the spine of the cover. Grab string and tie a knot in 1 end.
Step 6
String the string through the bottom hole of the cover and then through the ties on your coupons. Then back out the 2nd hole.
Step 7
Line string along spine then repeat step 6 at top end of booklet.
Step 8
Tie off end!
*DONE!*
Trust me, this an awesome gift & always turns into a gift for both of you!
Happy holidays!
